Removing Emotional Blocks

Another alternative to Hypnotherapy is Spiritual Response Therapy. Developed by Robert Detzler, Spiritual Response Therapy or SRT was an adaptation of Response Therapy founded by Dr. Cameron and Dr. Clark in the 1980’s. Adapted from hypnotherapy, Dr. Cameron and Dr. Clark did scientific study and research on the power of the subconscious mind by using a pendulum to ask questions of the subconscious mind regarding blocks to happiness and overall a fulfilled life experience. Robert Detzler having worked with Dr. Cameron and Dr. Clark, felt there was a big connection between the subconscious mind and spirituality and through his research found that a lot of the blocks or programming originated there.

SRT is becoming more commonplace as an increased number of people struggle to find their way or question why they repeat patterns. Many spiritual philosophers, psychologists, therapists, intuitive psychics, and hypnotherapists believe we have emotional blocks set in place that keep us from attaining our goals, hopes, desires, and ultimately our true purpose on Earth and are established by a program we may be running. After learning what the program, of many, is one can then find its origin and then subsequently clear it.

Where are these programs established? They can be handed down to us in the womb from our own mother’s emotions or the universe, or God, or Gods whatever your spiritual belief, family members, friends, people we have had an interaction with and most of all; ourselves.

How do you know if you are running a program? Do you ever experience the same problem/(s) over and over? Do you ever enter into a relationship repeatedly with the same type of person that is clearly the wrong match for you? Do you ever know what it is you want to be “when you grow up” or what you want to be doing but just cannot seem to ever fully get there? As if you are grazing your goal with just your fingertips. These programs can make your problems cyclical.

What are some examples of a program or a block? More often than not, the ones that are most prevalent are guilt, fear, and unworthiness. They are not all necessarily negative; they can also be blocks to a positive energy or emotion, like abundance, love, and happiness. A person can feel that they don’t deserve to be happy because they have never had it or just enjoy self-punishment. Whatever the block is; positive or negative, SRT and hypnotherapy can help one to remove it or reeducate oneself so that they can bring it in to their life. Some of us are quite in tune with ourselves already, whether it’s through meditation, or just intuition, or maybe even therapy, and can recognize blocks in ourselves right away. For others of us, slaves to our conscious mind’s distractions, it can be hard and overwhelming. For these folk, hypnotherapy can be a great way to tap in. Busy minds have a hard time meditating, and so hypnotherapy helps guide this person to their block/blocks. Under hypnosis, the person will then recognize the blocks, their origin, and best of all, help them to remove them.

Chances are if you have never done any sort of self-healing nor have any sort of self-awareness, you are running a multitude of programs. There are many blocks or programs in each of us. Right now, think of any trauma you have suffered whether it was you, yourself, or collectively through a natural disaster, or a terrorist attack. The news can be a horrible instigator of creating programs of fear. Or think back to all the times you were around a negative person, immersed in a negative situation, said something hurtful, did something hurtful or were on the receiving end of a bad comment. What about all those times you were negative towards yourself, calling yourself a failure, stupid, or worthless? I bet you just counted more than one, and those are just the ones you remember. What about all the ones you blocked out to protect yourself? The mind is powerful. It can remove memories or even exaggerate others, depending on what it feels you may need to learn or do right at this very moment.

Day to day routines and societal distractions can keep us above water for a short while slightly content or even numb to what is going on around us. Most often however, the subconscious can grow very tired of the roller coaster and can present you with disease. It is after all, DISease. Unfortunately for most, rather than looking inward and asking their self what is going on, they instead look outward or turn to medication and end up with more than one disease and more problems. Think of it like this analogy, purchasing a large valuable ticket item. You want the best quality for your money, right? But once or twice in your life you may have bought the lesser item to avoid breaking your wallet, only to find out that the item you purchased did not last you as long as it would have had you paid more up front in the first place. If you had just tapped in, listened to your intuition, practiced some self-healing and removed your emotional blocks or negative programming first, you could have saved yourself from the expensive upkeep of your body later.

Everybody is a work in progress. It is never too late to start clearing these programs or removing these blocks in order to start really living the life you were meant to. Forgiving others is hard, but forgiving yourself is hardest of all. Start somewhere before you end up nowhere.
